Today, Florida home health care laws only require that criminal background checks be conducted within the state. That means that if an applicant committed a crime outside of Florida their crime could go totally undetected, rendering their background check inconclusive and worthless. Further, the law allows agencies to place caregivers in your home for up to 30 days before criminal background checks are even completed – putting you at major risk! At Redi-Nurse we refuse to jeopardize our client’s safety by only complying with minimal state requirements.
Redi-Nurse guarantees to conduct criminal background checks in every state in which the prospective caregiver has lived for the past 7 years. Additionally, to ensure your safety, we promise that the background check conducted on your caregiver will be completed before they are placed in your home.

How
does Redi-Nurse ensure that my caregiver will show up on time?
While most agencies have a “no-show” policy, their policy can still leave you waiting for hours for a replacement! A typical agency’s replacement process doesn’t even start until you’ve already been inconvenienced by them not showing up in the first place.
Redi-Nurse eliminates the
unreliable caregiver by utilizing a “Pre-Shift Call Policy” which requires the
caregiver to communicate with the agency 4 to 8 hours prior to your
appointment. If a replacement is needed, the search will be conducted on
Redi-Nurse’s time, not on yours.

ensure that my caregiver will be competent?
Most agencies maintain only the minimal home health standards established by law. In 2001 the state of Florida totally eliminated the formal education requirements of home health aides. Where once they required 40 hours of classroom training…they now require a disgraceful zero! It is now up to the ethical standards of each agency to provide their clients with competent caregivers who create safe and secure environments for those entrusted to their care. This is a responsibility Redi-Nurse takes very seriously…our high standards of practice guarantee it!
At Redi-Nurse, we only hire caregivers who have a minimum of 40 hours of formal classroom education. We also require every home health aide to take 32 hours of additional training during their first year of employment.

1) Every 30 minutes your caregiver will either provide “Comfort and Care” measures or simply ask you if there’s anything they can do for you.
2) Every day you will be treated to a soothing, 15 minute hand and arm massage by your aide.
3) Every day your aide will follow a Daily Activity Schedule, which has been predetermined by you, that will keep them “giving care” throughout their scheduled time.
